Orphan

Little Orphan Annie and the Gila Monster Gang

"A story based on the famous newspaper strip Little Orphan Annie by Harold Gray." Copyright 1944.

This is my mother’s book. I’ve read it a few times because I love the story. She allowed me to be its caretaker.

I accept.

Hi Teresa .. love the photos - and how lucky that you've become the book's caretaker .. as you will so carefully take care of it for those four perfect little grandchildren!

Love the illustration - the dog has such a brilliant facial expression ..

Cheers Hilary

What a wonderful thing to have. I love old books and have several that my mom handed down to me too. :)

Wonderful! I hope my kids appreciate all the books they'll inherit from me. :)

How incredible is that that you have her book! I love old books. Every time you touch them, you are in contact with their rich history, like you are reading them with ghosts. I've got my Dad's ancient copy of Grimm's Fairy Tales and Hans Christian Andersen (In fact they are the books I'm holding in my Swagger/Google profile pic.
